Restoration Advisory Board (RAB)
The Camp Williams Restoration Advisory Board, or RAB is being created to improve the MMRP investigation by:
• Increasing community understanding and support for investigation efforts
• Improving the soundness of investigation data and future decisions
• Ensuring the investigation is responsive to community needs.
The RAB is designed to act as a forum for the exchange of information between Camp Williams and the local community regarding MMRP activities. The RAB will bring community members and interested parties together to reflect the diverse interests and concerns within the communities surrounding Camp Williams. The advisory board allows early communication between RAB members and Camp William’s decision makers thus, enabling community members to influence investigation activities and provide input at different stages of the process.
RAB Member selection
Once the RAB is established, new members will be selected by the existing RAB members through a majority vote. However, the initial selection of RAB members will be conducted by a series of selection panels made up of the city councils of surrounding communities. Applications will be collected and delivered to the selection panels which will then determine the candidate that will best represent the interests of the community.
Members of the RAB will likely include:
• City Representatives
• Community Representatives
• State Regulatory members
• Federal Regulatory members
• Property Owners
• Business Owners
• Utah National Guard Representatives
