Proposed Restoration Advisory Board Membership

Restoration Advisory Board

General Information

The Restoration Advisory Board or RAB is a committee comprised of community members, environmental regulators, local government representatives and other interested parties. Its purpose is to advise the Utah National Guard (UTNG) on community concerns regarding participation in the military munitions response program (MMRP) at Camp Williams. The RAB is in place to encourage community participation in the MMRP investigation process.

The RAB is co-chaired by a member of the community (chosen by the RAB's community members) and by a representative from the UTNG. The RAB developed its own mission statement and operating procedures, sets the agenda for meetings and selects the meeting location and time. The UTNG provides administrative support for the RAB to include paying for all necessary meeting expenses.

Member Responsibilities

RAB members serve voluntarily, without compensation, for a term to be set by the RAB. Members are required to attend all meetings. RAB members have the opportunity to review and comment on technical documents and reports related to the cleanup. Members act as a liaison between the community and the UTNG and as such, are required to be available to community members and to exchange information and/or concerns. RAB members should be prepared to devote at least two hours per month to their RAB responsibilities.

Application Instructions
